Assessing author voice separately from manuscript turnaround

A fast nonfiction manuscript timeline does not tell you whether the writing will sound like its named author. In the article “Assess the author’s voice, not just the book-writing timeline,” we note that TurnkeyBook describes its service as human-written and voice-led. That describes its stated approach, but it does not, on its own, establish how a particular author’s voice will come through.
For anyone commissioning a manuscript, turnaround and voice are separate things to assess. A schedule can be compared before the work begins; whether the writing sounds like the person signing it calls for reviewing the draft itself.
