Studying anti-Semitism is different from letting it dictate the work you make. In “How Would Leonardo da Vinci Handle Anti-Semitism If He Lived in 2026?”, I imagine a secular, Jewish Leonardo treating hateful comments on social media as material to examine—not instructions for what to do next.
The professional question in that thought experiment is what to make from what you observe. The article argues for precise, useful public work that helps others understand anti-Semitism, while continuing to support Jewish institutions and communities. Paying attention matters; so does deciding where your effort goes.
