PCOS and breastfeeding: support beyond a full milk supply

Abstracts

A full milk supply is not the only meaningful goal when breastfeeding with PCOS.

In “Breastfeeding and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, PCOS,” I discuss supplemental feeding tools for parents dealing with low milk supply. The article also notes that, even when a full supply is difficult to achieve, any breast milk can benefit the baby. For lactation support, that distinction matters: it leaves room to address feeding needs while supporting continued breastfeeding.
