Why fact extraction and profile claims should stay separate

Abstracts

Part of building ProfileScribe has been deciding where evidence stops and a claim begins. The crawler agent prototype fetches approved public links and extracts timestamped facts, but it never writes those facts directly into a profile. That normalization step exists on purpose: raw evidence has to be reconciled against what's already known before anything becomes a statement a professional would publish under their own name.

It's a small architectural choice, but it's the one that makes automated profile updates trustworthy instead of just fast. A system that skips this separation can look impressive in a demo and still produce copy no one should actually stand behind.
