Why fact extraction and user-facing claims should stay separate

Abstracts

One design choice behind ProfileScribe's crawler agent prototype: it keeps raw fact extraction from approved sources separate from the claims that eventually reach a profile. The crawler normalizes evidence first; only later does that evidence get reconciled into anything published.

This separation matters more than it sounds. Systems that draft professional copy from automated sources need a clear boundary between what was actually found and what gets asserted. Collapsing that boundary is how tools end up inventing achievements. Keeping it intact is slower, but it's the difference between a system you can trust and one you have to double-check line by line.
