Designing agent products with the guardrails first

Abstracts

Agent product design, in this context, has meant thinking about limits before capabilities: what an agent is allowed to fetch, what counts as evidence, and what still requires a human decision. ProfileScribe and the crawler agent prototype both take that approach, treating normalization and review as first-class parts of the product rather than afterthoughts. It is a slower way to build, but it produces something closer to a system people can actually rely on for their own professional record.
