Why fact extraction and profile claims stay separate systems

One design choice behind ProfileScribe: the crawler agent that fetches approved public links never writes directly to a profile. It normalizes what it finds into timestamped facts first. Only after that layer does anything become a candidate for a public claim.
This separation matters more than it sounds. Professional profiles lose credibility when updates blur what a source actually said with what someone wants it to say. Keeping extraction and claims apart is a small architectural decision, but it's the difference between a profile that reflects evidence and one that just reflects intent.
